The Monster and the Boy
One wet scary morning a  boy woke up from his  nice warm bed.       He opened his curtains and he saw something    very  black  so he   went  down  stairs   put on  his rain  coat  on  and  started  to search for that very black monster.  "Hang on I hear rustling it might be the monster" he whispered to himself.  The monster had climbed the gigantic trees and then the leaves started to fall above him from the treetop.  They were as big as him.  It covered him with one leaf like a robots foot.  The robots foot is as big as anything in the world.

Drasnice.

In Drasnice in Hrvatska it is about ten degrees warmer in summer compared to New Zealand, and on the beaches there are pebbles rather than sand, and also not many waves about.  The delicate, silent ocean calmly relaxing on the pebbles.

 If you listen carefully you might hear soft footsteps tapping on the ground, tap, tap, tap on the rock road.

Outside you will see very sweaty people, and a few people watering their flowers.

The bread in the shop smells divine,when you look around at the wrecked brick houses, they just look like big mountains of bricks on top of each other.

Hrvatska is a good place to go to, especially in winter time, in New Zealand, because in winter time it is summer over there.

On a sunny saturday morning me and my dad walked to the car excitedly we were excited because it was ... rugby prize giving. So off we went.  When we got there I sat on the mat with my team. How to make a balloon dragster

How to make a balloon dragster.


You will need:
-Cardboard X3
-One straw
-One balloon
-Sellotape
-A glue stick
-A pair of scissors
-Four pins
-One pencil
-Coloring materials 


First:Cut out the shape of your balloon dragsters body, and you might want to color it in.
Next:Trace your glue stick four times all next to each other on a piece of cardboard, after you've done that, you can cut them out, now cut four little squares out of the small strip of cardboard, and pin the wheels, and the little squares together, but do not close the pin!!!
Tip: You must cut the wheels like circles.
Then:Use the open pin to sit under the body of your balloon dragster, now tape the pin on it.
Next:Tape your balloon onto your straw, and tape your straw onto the body of the balloon dragster.
Now:Blow up the balloon through the straw, let the straw go, and the balloon dragster will hopefully go.  Your balloon dragster is complete!!!!! 

My aunty

My Aunty's

At my Aunty's when I got there I played with her cute baby his name is Aranui but we call him Chubanui because he chubby.We watched our big cousin named Mana play on the computer and he just got back from rugby. I played with chubanui  it was so so so gross cause he dribbled in my mouth ewwwww i washed my mouth.After that my sisters and aunty went out to get some dinner and Saturdays. We had sausage and bread for dinner and sundaes for dessert, but we call them Saturdays because it was Saturday. In the morning we had pancakes for breakfast the were YUM and the baby was still asleep so we had to be quite as a mouse... and scream YUM..... we where going tot go to the park tot watch my cousin eru play softball but it rained so we just got picked up and went home. After that we had a sneaky donut from the bakery and i had heaps of fun at my auntys.

how to make a balloon dragster

How to make a Balloon Dragster.                                                  

You will need:                                   

:Scissors

:A pencil

:Straw x1

:Circle template

:lots of cardboard

:pins x4

:1 roll of tape

:Coloured pens or pencils

:balloon x1

Step 1:Use the cardboard to cut out a shape for the body of the cart. Draw four circles on card board with the pencil and cut them out.Then get a stripn of cardboard and cut four squares. 

Step 2:decorate the body if you want to. I did mine with fire. It looks quite cool. You could use yellow,orange and red for fire. If you wanted  you could give it a name and a number plate.

Step 3:connect the circles to the body the using pins and the tape. They are the wheels. Now stick the the straw to the body with the bendy bit sticking up. 

Step 4:once you have done that tape the balloon to the end of the straw without it blown up. 

Step 5:Once you have done that try blowing up the balloon  through the straw make sure no air comes out until you you put it on the ground and let it go and drive free.

The Shimmering water at the end of the cold wet sand.  The birds are viciously  surrounding peoples       food desperately squawking for food.  

The People running like a bulldog towards the sea to crash into the big the big ferocious waves, while kids build big sand castles and other kids bary people up in the sand.  The waves SPLASH into big wet slippery rocks.  The seagulls squawking for food, and kids are yelling and screaming at the seagulls and sparrows.  It's a very noisy place.

My weekend

On Saturday we went to my Grandma’s house to do some gardening and they had

a quad bike. We went on the trailer only up because it had weeds in it when it was going up. While we were waiting for the quad bike to go down me and my sister Pearl played on are swing that we made on the tree.(we had some lunch). We eat outside.I feel really happy because then quad was fun.

The Goblin

Chapter 1

 Once there lived a boy called Joe. He lived the middle of the enormous forest.  One day his mum Lily said to Joe “Can you go and get some meat from the shop”.  “Of course mum” said Joe.  So of he went to the shops.  On the way he saw a goblin he said … “come and have a cup of tea”.

Chapter 2

So he did it was a trap.  4 other ones jumped out. He screamed for help then 7 chefs came and hurt them so they all ran away.  So they planned to move house.  So they did.

Chapter 3

From that day on they didn’t have to walk to the shops. Lucky them. They had lots of money so they bought a car. Now Joe can go to school. He had a nice new house. When Joe had his first day of school he made 2 friends.  Joe was a year 5.  It was fun at school.  So they lived happily ever after.

My robot Lilly

 Hello everyone would you all like to here what my robot is like.Well if you said yes then listen very carefully.
My robot is giving and she gives kindness and happiness.She is very clumsy because she is always is falling over. She is also very dangerous because she carries a knife everywhere she goes i  can't forget to tall you that she is excellent. Because she never gives up she is also very nice because she let's people join in her games.  She is so clever because she skipped universitey.  She is so clever if i do say so myself.

The best playdate ever

In my amazing holiday i did a whole lot of things but i have chosen to tell about the best playdate ever so it was thursday last week my mum had just dropped me off at tamsyn house for a playdate because she was at work. I played with tamsyn the whole time.

when i got there tamsyn rushed quickly to me it looked tiring and anyway she said"come on barbies" "barbies what" i answered "lets go play with barbies" she said "oh right" i replied "lets go said tamsyn "ok" i said. So we played barbies in the sea. Mean while downstairs julie (tamsyn mum) was setting up comfy couches so we could watch frozen. While we were waiting we played a game called operation it was fun.

After that we went down stairs and asked if it was time to watch frozen but it wasn't.So nextwe went outside and rode on Tamsyn bike and scooter we played schools too.

At last it was time to watch frozen  it was extraordinarily funny we had butter popcorn too.

Moments later we played with duplo julie interrupted us in the middle of  game and said "time to drop cooper off" .When we got there we looked at the horses while julie dropped cooper off.Suddenly the lid fell off in the poo and tamsyn  jumped in and grabbed it. We traveled home in julie's car. moments later we got home and had hot chips that latten (tamsyn brother bought from the dairy.I had so much fun I thought the day would never end .

Suddenly mum picked me up and drove me home.

There once was a lady called Lucinda who longed for a child . Lucinda prayed and prayed for a child. After three years lucinda got married and had a baby Lucinda' s baby was called Juliet. Lucinda loved her baby and became obsessed . One night lucinda put Juliet to sleep and Lucinda walked off. a black tom walked into the room the black tom made Juliet cry because his eyes were red like pools of fire and whiskers as tough as wire he swiped Juliet and replaced her with a wooden doll that was smiling and it had sharp teeth . The next morning Lucinda went to wake her baby she was devastated she grabbed her blood red coat and set off screaming with hell she went to the towns witch she asked her with rage were her beloved child juliet was the towns with explained how a black tom had stolen because she was so perfect. Lucinda went home weeping . A few years later she had another baby he was wonderful but lucinda did not want the wicked black tom too steal him so she tangled his hair in knots, rubbed ash onto his face and dressed him in rags so the black tom never came back again.

                                                 
                                         

Yesterday my mum,little brother and I went to the Oratia school country fair.  First we went to get our tickets.  Then we walked over to the garden stall, my mum bought some seeds and one watermelon rock that I painted.  After that we went over to the rides, my little brother Niksha and I went and rode the cup and saucers, Niksha thought it was a little bit scary, but in a little while, the ride finished.  Next we raced over to the books, Niksha found five books that he adored, fireman Sam and four Thomas the tank engine books.  I found one long chapter book called Clarice Bean don't look now.  Then we went to the jolly jars, we got a jolly jar filled with Whitakers raspberry with white chocolate and white chocolate.  Then it was time to go,  all of us had an awesome morning.  

Once upon a time there was a girl called Shina. She had long blonde hair and and blue eyes that sparkled in the sun light. But for some reason everybody made fun of Shina. So one warm day she sailed to a island that no one had ever been to it was called pidfort island she went with a lot of food and water and clothes. She built a little cabin for herself. The next day everyone in the village was wondering where she was because they were ready to make fun of her. So they spent a few hours looking for but they still couldn't find her so they just gave up on it. The next day a clown with lots of warts on his face dark skin and curly hair came into the town he said his name was Eddy. Eddy said that he knew how to get Shina to come back. But only if you let me live in this beautiful village. The people said yes so Eddy told them that if they fished for lots and lots of fish and sprinkled this dust on them . Put them in a boat and sail them to pidfort island. So they did as they were told . The next day they all gathered into the town square and then Eddy explained to them what they need to do next. You just have to wait with your heads out the window and she will soon return so everyone ran to there houses and stuck their heads out the window and waited while  Shina was feeding the swans she saw the boat until she saw all the dead fish in the boat but some of them were alive so she tipped the boat over to let all the fish free. Then she sailed back to her cabin to get some lunch . Back at the village Eddy was going into every ones house and pushing them out the window. He ran to the other side of the village where nobody lived. Meanwhile Shina was making herself feel realy like home. At the village nobody new where Eddy was so they all forgot about him and Shina and just got on with their lives. So Eddy and Shina were never seen again.

My Cat has smooth,white hair. She also has green glaring eyes. She is a girl. She has pink skin. She has short hair. She is very lazy. She likes to sun bathe. She is very cuddly. Shes always hungry. She eats lots so shes fat. She likes sleeping on my mum on the coach. She leans against people and she sleeps on my bed. She always sleeps on my bean bag, it's covered in hair.

We are learning how to use piclits to make the words we use in our writing more interesting.
